Kseniya Alexandrova represented Russia at the Miss Universe pageant in 2017. She was a runner-up to be Miss Russia in another pageant.
However, the Russian beauty queen has died tragically at the age of 30.
The Miss Universe pageant confirmed her death in an Instagram tribute.
The Miss Universe Contestant’s Cause of Death Was Injuries Sustained in a Car Accident
“The Miss Universe Organization extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and everyone whose life was touched by the light of Miss Universe Russia 2017,” the tribute says.
“Kseniya Alexandrova. Her grace, beauty, and spirit left an unforgettable mark on the Miss Universe family and beyond. May her memory continue to inspire kindness, strength, and love in all those who were fortunate enough to know her. 🤍🕊️”
According to Hola!, the cause of death was injuries sustained in a car accident. She died on Aug. 12.

EA Daily quoted her husband as telling Ria Novosti, “On the way back between Rzhev and Zubtsov, this is the 191st kilometer of the federal highway M9, we encountered a moose. There was a road repair. The road is high, there are no fences from wild animals.”
He added, according to the site: “A moose jumped out from somewhere, jumped out in front of the car. A split second passed from the moment he jumped out to the impact. I didn’t manage to do anything. The moose flew into the cabin. The blow hit Ksyusha in the head. She was unconscious, her head was smashed, everything was covered in blood. The worst thing is that the frontal bones of the skull were broken. It was obvious that there was an open craniocerebral injury.”

Compounding the tragedy, the beauty queen was a newlywed.
On April 2, she shared wedding photos on her Instagram page and wrote, “I never thought that one event could sound inside for so long. I remember every second and it seems that I am still experiencing the whirlwind of emotions :)There was so much love, joy and sincere feelings on this day that the heart is still full of them. Thanks to everyone who was with us – it’s priceless! 🙏🏻”
According to Hola!, the July car accident that left her “hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute.”
Hola! reported that the crash “happened in the Tver region. Alexandrova was in the passenger seat while her husband was driving when their car collided with a moose that ran across the road.”

Alexandrova suffered a “traumatic brain injury,” the site reported.
